Meet the Heart Behind Nomad After Fifty

Ephesus

About us! We’re Ishik and Malkit, proof that age is just a number and adventure has no expiry date. With years of experience and a zest for exploration, we jumped into the  nomad lifestyle well before retirement. Now, as we gear up for full-time travel, we’re mixing remote work with globe-trotting, leaving the 9-to-5 grind behind for a slower, more immersive journey.

We dive headfirst into local cultures, savor exotic foods, and hunt down hidden gems, because we believe the JOURNEY is just as exciting as the destination.

Our mission? To blend long-term travel with our careers, showing that work and adventure can happily coexist. Join us on our quest to discover the world, and see how life after 50 can be brimming with possibilities.

Let’s explore together and prove that it’s never too late to live your dream!

Hey there! I’m Isik, and I hail from Adana, Türkiye—yes, the city famous for kebabs, cotton, and some of the warmest people you’ll ever meet. After grabbing my college degree in Izmir, I set off on my travel adventures. I had a brief fling with Australia before settling in Arizona, where I’ve made a cozy home.

My travel journey kicked off with family trips around Turkiye, and my first big adventure was to Venice, Italy, at the tender age of 20. I was so smitten by Venice that I’ve been hopping back to Italy whenever I can. Since then, I’ve ticked off six continents, over 40 countries, and countless cities.

I used to be the type to dash from one spot to the next, but I’ve learned that the journey is just as important as the destination. These days, I’m all about slow travel, soaking up cultures, and savoring experiences—whether I’m solo or with friends. So, buckle up and join me as I explore the world at a more relaxed pace!

Meet Malkit, my partner in crime for our wandering feet adventures! Born in the vibrant Punjab region of India, he immigrated to the stunning city of Vancouver, Canada, as a child. Growing up in the West with Eastern values, he embraced a unique blend of cultures. After graduating as an RF Engineer, Malkit traveled the world for both work and pleasure. Japan is his absolute favorite!

His part-time nomadic adventures began when we teamed up, because I can’t resist planning the next big trip as soon as we return from one. Together, we’re always on the move, discovering new places and experiences.
